Not all tanks are created equal

You may have read or heard other tank makers claiming more ribs for strength, or smooth ribs for greater strength or the traditional look. However the truth of the matter is with rotational moulding the ribs or corrugated design actually creates a weakness in the tank. This is due to the positive in the mould. With the plastic powder rotating in the mould and hitting the peak of the rib, it has a natural tendency to flow either side of the highest point. This is similar to snow falling on a mountain peak; snow will always flow to the path of least resistance, i.e. either side of the peak.
This is an actual picture of a cross section of a corrugated tank from a well-known manufacturer that has failed. You can see the thinner wall sections created by the positive effects of the mould due to the peak of the rib. This is why our tanks have a straight wall design. IT IS SUPERIOR!
